'Only mURDERS IN THE BUILDING’

Working alongside Disney+, we were tasked with creating a live themed event for the launch of the new Hulu murder mystery series ‘Only Murders in the Building’

 THE GOAL

Taking inspiration from the series to create a showstopping one-night only immersive murder mystery launch event at a secret London location.

 

OUR RESPONSE

To re-create a New York look and feel synonyms with the series, by bringing in award-winning catering, actors, and providing cleverly crafted creative production.

Transforming a multi-floor venue into “The Arconia”, a fictional building set within the series, we designed set builds to represent key areas of the building, alongside an integrated lighting design & theatrical performance to bring each immersive scene to life.

By splitting guests into smaller groups, we were able to supply each with an intimate walkthrough experience that showcased key snapshots of the series without giving the ‘who dunnit’ moment away.

This was all achieved by creating a bespoke script for our actors that were then delivered in each scene during the walkthrough. Tie this together with the themed catering, central park-style backdrop, and final screening, thus creating a full-circle experience.

THE OUTCOME

The celebrity and entertainment world turned out in force to celebrate the launch.

Team GB Olympic gold medallist Georgia Taylor Brown was amongst the guests at the event along with some of TV’s favourite stars. The event took place in Spitalfields Market at the never before used Spitalfields Studio. Guests were treated to an immersive murder mystery attraction, which led to a huge uptake of social reach and impressions from the content generated on the night.
